Hullo: Hullo, Huillo

Le nom se prononçait OUILLO ou OUILLOU. On le rencontre sous de nombreuses formes dans les documents anciens, notamment Ullo et Ollo. A priori, semble un dérivé du mot catalan olla (= marmite, pot), mais on peut aussi penser à l'olivier (occitan et catalan "oliu"). Les Hullo(ou Ullo) étaient, et sont encore, nombreux dans les environs de Prades, notamment à Ria-Sirach (P-O). Attention : le nom Hullo (variante Hulo) se rencontre aussi en Bretagne, et c'est sans doute une variante de Hulot (métaphore liée à la chouette).
